Case Studies :
Document Archival and Indexing
Client Requirement:
Law firms frequently require large volumes of documents to be indexed for easy retrieval, and they often enable search functions to easily find "smoking gun" documents that pertain to specific cases.
Challenges :
- Inspinity needed to index millions of documents within an aggressive time frame.
- Inspinity overtook this responsibility to reduce the cost of completing the job with in-house resources
Inspinity's Role:
Inspinity received the scanned images in batches.
First, teams determined the documents' logical boundaries and identified attachment ranges and parent-child relationships within the batches.
Then, Inspinity performed Optical Character Recognition to make the information searchable. Individual documents were indexed (coded) with standard fields, such as Document Type, Title, Date, Author, Recipients and Document Characteristics.
Outcome:
The client received a searchable database and was able to find documents by entering specific keywords into various fields.
Inspinity's low cost services and fast Turnaround Times helped the law firm with its case, and additionally, it was able to recover storage space where its client files had previously been stored.
